Cristiano Ronaldo of Real Madrid

Cristiano Ronaldo

Cristiano Ronaldo dos Santos Aveiro is better known by just Cristiano Ronaldo. He is a football player (soccer in North America) in Portugal and plays the forward position for the Real Madrid. He is also one of the captains for the National team of Portugal.

As a student, Ronaldo had some anger issues and he didn’t like to do his schoolwork. After he got into trouble for tossing a chair at a teacher, his mother was very concerned. She knew he loved football and made him a deal. He could take all his aggressions out on the field. As long as he was respectful to others and did his schoolwork, he could play the game all he wanted.

He did very well in the sport, but at the age of 15, he was diagnosed with a racing heart. He made the decision with his mother’s support to have an operation that would resolve the issue. Otherwise, it would have been the end of his ability to play the game without jeopardizing his life.

Ronaldo was signed with Manchester United in 2002 and played for them through 2009. That is when he was traded to Real Madrid with a huge figure for salary and a 6 year contract. His current salary is $21 million (EUR) annually. This makes him the highest paid soccer player in the world. He has earned that due to being one of the highest goal makers in the league for many years. He is also one of the best players out there overall and that makes him valuable in the eyes of any team.

He has one son, who shares his namesake. He has full custody of his son, who was born in 2010. Ronaldo has not disclosed who the boy’s mother is. He has been linked to several different women romantically including model Alice Goodwin and model Irina Shayk.

He is an advocate for children’s programs including ending poverty and hunger. He also supports physical activity programs for children to help reduce the risk of child obesity. He started his own fashion line of men’s clothing in 2006. He also opened a museum in 2013 in his home town with various types of sports memorabilia on display.

Cristiano Ronaldo recently made the winning goal in the Champions League final. He ripped off his shirt and shouted to the crowd. People were cheering and applauding very loudly, and he certainly got plenty of compliments for his ripped body!
